These new high performance fly rods from Shakespeare combine high quality rod blanks with high specification fixings to create good fly rods at a very reasonable price. All are 4 piece with a medium / fast action and come in a cordura rod tube.

The Shakespeare Agility fly rods feature:

- Slim carbon blanks with medium / fast action for smooth, powerful casting
- 4 piece construction with matt grey finish
- High quality cork handles (AAA grade)
- Zirconium Oxide Stripper rings
- Stainless steel single leg guides (low flash gunsmoke finish)
- Engraved alloy reel seat (matt grey finish)
- Keeper ring
- Smart and professional colour scheme (varnished black whippings, green contrasting).
- Partitioned cordura rod tube for protection and convenience.

VERSIONS

The Shakespeare Agility fly rods come in the following 9 versions:

- 8'6 #5 fly rod: half wells handle - River rod for trout and grayling fishing
- 9' #5 fly rod: half wells handle - Good nymphing rod for stillwater and river fishing
- 9' #6 fly rod: half wells handle - All round rod for rivers and stillwater fishing
- 9'6 #6 fly rod: full wells handle - Great rod for stillwater fishing
- 9'6 #7 fly rod: full wells handle - Great rod for stillwater fishing
- 10' #6 fly rod: full wells handle with fighting butt - For larger stillwaters and boat fishing
- 10' #7 fly rod: full wells handle with fighting butt - For larger stillwaters and boat fishing
- 10' #8 fly rod: full wells handle with fighting butt - For heavier flies on large stillwaters and boat fishing.
- 11' #7 fly rod: full wells handle with fighting butt - Great for distance casting and boat fishing.

OUR OPINION

These Shakespeare Agility fly rods are made from top quality materials and components at a very reasonable price. Light and powerful, they look and feel like a much more expensive rod than they actually are.

Again, these rods are quite a step up from Shakespeare's previous versions and show a lot of thought has gone into making better fly rods at a price that can be afforded. Good for Shakespeare.

I thought the rod had a few small assembly mistakes eyes not straight on the blank two eyes in the wrong place.Overall the rod build was not exceptional but for the price is ok . The rod casts ok and is ideal for what I want fishing with a high bank and barbed wire fence behind me .Does the job perfect so overall I am pleased with the rod.
